Launcher Mission Analysis Engineer « Licensing »
Job Description
As part of our strong development and in order to contribute to the evolution of the company, you will be attached to the technical direction of the company as a mission analysis engineer, integrated into the "System" department.
Your main mission will be to participate in the analysis of the missions of the company's aerospace vehicles and to follow the licensing process of these space vehicles.
Responsibilities
Tasks and missions
- Participate in the definition of the objectives and requirements of the company's aerospace vehicle missions in terms of performance, safety and reliability, based on customer needs, technical constraints, and applicable regulations.
- Evaluate the compliance of vehicles and their missions with applicable technical regulations and space laws (LOS, RT...)
- Participate in the process of obtaining launch licenses and launch operators from the French and international authorities.
- Design and operate mission simulation models to evaluate the performance and constraints of aerospace vehicles.
- Analyze the results of mission simulations and propose improvements to optimize the performance of aerospace vehicles.
- Participate in the evaluation of risks related to aerospace vehicle missions and propose solutions to reduce them.
- Act as a liaison between technical aspects related to space vehicle mission analysis, and legal and commercial teams, both internal and external to the company.
Preferred experience and skills
Graduated from an engineering school or Master in Aerospace, you have at least 5 years of significant experience in mission analysis for aerospace vehicles and advanced skills in flight dynamics, backup, and space mechanics.
You have a thorough knowledge of the legal aspects related to space activities (launchers, satellites, constellations...etc) and the associated laws and regulations.
Experience in risk analysis and/or operational safety would be a plus.
You also have good communication and collaboration skills and are able to work in a team in a multidisciplinary environment with engineering, legal and legal teams, and with institutions and authorities.
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
